Despite Utah's early domination, the Clippers overcome the Jazz in overtime thanks to a 73-point effort from Powell and Harden.

With a dominant 50-30 lead over the Los Angeles Clippers in the first half at the Delta Center, the Utah Jazz was ready for a solid finish before the All-Star break. But the Clippers rallied to force overtime and win 120-116, shattering their early supremacy.

The Jazz were beset by turnovers; Los Angeles scored 20 points as a result of 26 turnovers. The Clippers' switching and tough defense were cited by head coach Will Hardy as major disruptions. They were concerned by their swapping, he added. They had trouble delivering the ball because of it.

Utah shot well, making 13 of 23 three-pointers in the first half to establish an early lead. However, the Clippers' late push in the second quarter, which was fueled by free throws, reduced the Jazz's advantage to 60-54 at the half.

With an 8-0 surge in the fourth quarter, the Clippers took their first lead since the first quarter. In the closing seconds, with the score knotted at 108-108, the Jazz had a chance to win but were unable to do it, forcing overtime.

James Harden finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, while Norman Powell scorched Utah with a season-high 41 points.

Kyle Filipowski had a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds in spite of the defeat. Lauri Markkanen contributed 20 points as well. Although they struggled with turnovers, rookie guards Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George combined for 17 assists.

Despite the losses, Hardy maintained his optimism and emphasized the team's growth. According to George, learning is ultimately what matters.
