Etihad Rail announced the start of a new high-speed train project that will link Abu Dhabi and Dubai during a formal ceremony held at Al Faya Depot. The project highlights the UAE’s position as a global leader in transportation.

The project demonstrates the country’s commitment to responsible development and sustainable economic growth by integrating innovative technology into the nation's transportation infrastructure. Additionally, it significantly advances the objectives of the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy.

The proposal would significantly reduce travel times between Abu Dhabi and Dubai by enabling continuous communication. It will enhance the standard of living for citizens and visitors alike, in addition to strengthening economic ties between the two emirates.

The high-speed train will promote sustainable development for future generations by boosting corporate expansion and creating new investment opportunities in sectors like tourism and logistics through the infrastructure.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai, and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, signed a Cooperation Charter at the announcement event.
