Jason Isaacs and Natasha Rothwell will return to Thailand for the upcoming season of the highly regarded drama.

The White Lotus resorts are in danger of experiencing problems once more. The first teaser trailer for the third season of the critically acclaimed HBO series, which is set on Thai beaches, promises just as much mystery, secrets, and scathing societal criticism as the previous two.

The 90-second teaser confirms creator Mike White's prediction that the Emmy-winning show, which in season one mocked wealth privilege at a Hawaiian resort before switching to bedroom farce in Sicily for season two, would address westerners' fascination with eastern spirituality in its third season.

The trailer depicts Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and others drinking and practicing stress-reduction meditation at what is likely another White Lotus resort in Thailand. In the teaser, the Buddhist monk asserts that everyone runs from pain in pursuit of happiness. But when they get there, they find more agony.

Natasha Rothwell, a first-season fan favorite, returns as the unlucky, ambitious masseuse Belinda, who is in Thailand on an exchange program. She claimed that she is beginning to believe that this could lead to something positive. A body bag is also displayed, suggesting that, like in the first two seasons, someone passes away while residing at the lavish hotel.

The third season was produced and promoted by HBO in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Filming took place this past spring at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, as well as in Phuket and Bangkok. In the third season, Lalisa Manobal, the rapper known by her stage name Lisa and the lone Thai member of the K-pop group Blackpink, makes her acting debut as a staff member of White Lotus and, based on the trailer, a resort dancer.

On February 16, HBO will debut the third season.
