The award-winning IT solutions company Auvik is improving its Auvik Network Management (ANM) product to give a more flexible and customizable user experience.
Three new features are available from Auvik: an enhanced alerting engine that enables more personalized settings for alerts and notifications; a new monitoring collection agent that operates natively on ARM64-based hardware; and Northstar, a debugging tool based on network path visualization.
According to Auvik's chief operating officer, John Astorino, these product improvements assist their clients in getting the most out of Auvik Network Management for their settings, including MSPs and corporate IT departments. He continued by saying that the additional deployment options and flexible troubleshooting and alerting options provided by these new features allowed clients to customize their network management system, increasing its overall usefulness and efficiency.
With its path visualization-based troubleshooting tool, Northstar, customers may adjust their monitoring tactics to meet individual organizational requirements while improving visibility and management across networks.
According to the company, Northstar makes it easier for users to find issues faster by highlighting the route from a chosen node to the Internet or other network nodes and by displaying a contextually relevant subset of network connections and devices from the network map.
Deployment on economical ARM64-architected devices, such as the Raspberry Pi, is made possible by the ARM64 collection agent, offering a versatile and reasonably priced solution to clients with a variety of infrastructure requirements.
The underlying architecture is immediately detected by the ARM64 Collector code, which then adapts its functionality to increase the available deployment possibilities. This flexibility is essential, as many firms seek to minimize expenses while retaining strong network monitoring capabilities.
