With effect from August 13, 2024, Ved Prakash Goel, Group Chief Financial Officer (KMP), will now be Dr. Lal Pathlabs' CFO and Chief Executive Officer—International Business (KMP), according to a Tuesday announcement from Dr. Lal Pathlabs.

With over 28 years of expertise, Ved Prakash Goel is a chartered accountant and legal lawyer. He also completed ISB and IIMA Senior Leadership programs. The company stated in its exchange filing that he had experience in a variety of areas, including mining, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, and healthcare services. Goel is highly skilled in a number of financial sectors, including fund raising, legal and corporate affairs, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), direct and indirect taxes, and financial and strategic planning and execution. This is a bonus for Dr. Lal Pathlabs' leadership change.

Goel supervised numerous small and mid-size M&A transactions, including the significant purchase of Suburban Diagnostics in Mumbai in 2021. He also played a key role in the company's 2015 initial public offering.

Analysts were taken aback last week by Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd.'s announcement of its fiscal first quarter revenue, which rose almost 28.9% to Rs 107.80 crore over Rs 83.60 crore in the previous fiscal year. Operating revenue was reported at Rs 601.90 crore, an increase of 11.3% above Rs 541.00 crore during the same quarter in FY24. The company's EBITDA was Rs 170 crore.
