Sensitive data protection company Baffle has released new features for multi-tenant applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services) that make it easier and more straightforward for AWS customers to secure data in databases and S3 object storage by encrypting each tenant.
For Aurora database instances and the relational database service (RDS), Baffle now offers a multi-tenant encryption solution. This move also covers S3 object stores by integrating AWS server-side encryption with Baffle's key management capabilities.
As a result, according to the company, Baffle gives consumers a single key that controls all of their data in AWS for the SaaS provider, simplifying and automating the process to eliminate the difficulties of key management for multi-tenant isolation.
According to Min-Hank Ho, vice president of product at Baffle, enterprises are losing control over their infrastructure as they move workloads to the cloud. This is because many compliance requirements revolve around maintaining control over who has access to your data, particularly the sensitive ones.
Customers of AWS who use Baffle can now take advantage of:
Lower cost of implementation and management: By using a single control mechanism, customers can save money on management by saving time.
Reduced risk to customer data security: Baffle's cryptographic technology solution safeguards and secures customer data.
Greater customizability and scalability: Customers can concentrate on optimizing configurations rather than data security when dealing with a straightforward security solution.
