Six more cloud regions added to MongoDB Atlas

Multi-cloud developer data platform MongoDB Atlas is now accessible in six more cloud regions, namely Canada, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Poland.

In order to satisfy the needs of more clients with data residency, availability, and latency-sensitive application requirements, MongoDB Atlas has expanded and is now accessible in 117 cloud regions across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

The company claims that MongoDB Atlas is the only globally distributed developer data platform that allows customers who require ultra-high availability or who wish to more easily integrate services from various cloud providers to run applications across major cloud providers seamlessly at the same time.

Customers can build, deploy, and run modern applications by combining various services from AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure with multi-cloud clusters on MongoDB Atlas, which offers the most extensive selection of cloud regions.

Global clusters on MongoDB Atlas allow enterprises to geographically divide databases across cloud providers to better control where all or part of the data resides. This is useful for enterprises that need to adhere to local regulatory compliance, data privacy, or low-latency application requirements.

MongoDB Atlas, according to the company, places pertinent data close to servers in particular locations across the world and recommends global cluster configurations with a few clicks to deliver high performance while satisfying an organization's application requirements.
