Paramount Plus removes multiple shows

Paramount Plus subscribers are experiencing anger due to the cancellation and removal of several popular international series and well-known performers.

Subscribers to Paramount Plus have expressed "bewilderment and frustration" following the widespread cancellation and removal of several shows, including popular international series and well-known performers.

Deadline reports that the films starring Samantha Morton in The Burning Girls, Jodie "Dr Who" Whittaker in the drama One Night, Eleven Hour Films' The Killing Kind, The Serial Killer's Wife, and the adaptation of the best-selling novel The Doll Factory are among the ones culled; fortunately, none of them are included in the list of best Paramount Plus films.

The second season of The Flatshare and the criminal drama Chemistry of Death are among the other losses, excluding the top Paramount Plus series. In addition to all of this, the UK service has discontinued fresh seasons of Quantum Leap and US remakes of dramas like Accused, which starred Jimmy McGovern.

The cull is being implemented because Paramount has chosen to alter its approach. Executives informed employees last week in a message that the streamer was now concentrating on Hollywood brands, movies, and television shows with broad popularity throughout the world in an effort to reduce expenses and increase revenue. One of the simplest ways to reduce expenses is to stop paying for shows, as companies like Disney Plus, Hulu, and Max have already shown. It is evident that Paramount Plus has chosen to take the same approach.
