The US and India have announced the creation of a cooperative technology accelerator to enhance cooperation and compatibility between the two nations.

Defense leaders from the United States and India announced the establishment of a cooperative technology accelerator with the goal of enhancing cooperation and compatibility between the two countries.

The India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem, or INDUS-X, was unveiled by the two nations on June 21 during a meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce. The initiative offers a channel for supplying technology to Indian and American defense organizations that is created by startups and other commercial businesses.

The declaration is made in conjunction with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US. The Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon and the Innovations for Defense Excellence group inside the Indian Ministry of Defense are spearheading the effort.

India's Ministry of Defense (MoD) wants to boost its yearly exports to $5 billion by 2025, and co-production and co-development with the US are two ways the agency plans to get there. The US, on the other hand, sees the nation as a crucial ally and seeks to deepen ties in the Indo-Pacific area.

One of the many cooperative technology projects between the two countries in recent years is the development of INDUS-X. The US-India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology was established last year, and Presidents Biden and Modi committed to working together to develop high-need defense technologies.
