Business Fortune-Zorab Bedros: From Oman to California in Lift Engineering

-Aria Smith

Zorab Bedros is not your typical oilfield engineer. With two decades of experience, multiple global deployments, and technical innovations spanning continents, he has redefined what it means to lead in the energy sector.

From early assignments in the deserts of Oman to his current base in California, Bedros has earned a reputation for stepping into complex technical challenges—and delivering solutions that reshape operations.

Rising Through the Ranks

Bedros began his international career with Zenith Oilfield Technology, where he rapidly advanced from field technician to senior operations engineer. During a major campaign with Saudi Aramco, Bedros was called to lead a rescue operation for a failing horizontal CT logging tool. His swift redesign of the logging plug system not only salvaged the project—it became an internal Aramco benchmark for future jobs.

Soon, his reputation began to precede him. In ENI-Congo projects, he led the installation of over 150 ESP and gas lift systems. Later, in Australia, he oversaw the country’s first PCP-TDV hybrid deployment. Each project solidified his standing as a leading systems integrator in high-risk energy environments.

Leading from the Field

Bedros’s influence has extended well beyond the rig. At Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas, he developed predictive maintenance systems, spearheaded real-time monitoring tools, and built international training programs. He has onboarded junior engineers, drafted operational standards, and led safety modernization campaigns.

In 2019, he was named Employee of the Year at Baker Hughes Oman—a formal recognition of his leadership, innovation, and field execution.

Building for the Future

Today, Zorab Bedros leads RVC Tech-Solutions, a California-based startup specializing in communication systems, instrumentation, and solar energy installations. Holding a C-7 Low Voltage License and a C-61/D-9 Specialty License for oil field services, Zorab is also pursuing a C-46 Solar Contractor certification. His credentials reflect a strategic shift toward sustainable technologies and intelligent industrial infrastructure.

His long-term vision is to integrate advanced monitoring technologies, renewable energy systems, and real-time communication frameworks into a single platform capable of modernizing industrial infrastructure across the United States.

His story is one of innovation, grit, and global perspective—and it’s far from over.
