We founded Atlantic Data Security in 2010 after working for several years as a cybersecurity reseller for various organizations. We saw a need in the market for a company that offers personalized cybersecurity solutions for clients of all sizes and industries.

Therefore, we wanted to create a company that helps clients protect their data and systems from cyber threats. Additionally, we educate them on the best practices and strategies to prevent and reduce future attacks.

Q. What were some of the most memorable challenges you and the team at Atlantic Data Security have overcome? How did the company learn from these challenges?

One of our biggest challenges was the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced us and our customers to work remotely. This put our cybersecurity at risk due to new threats and vulnerabilities from personal devices, unsecured networks, and collaboration tools. We had to make sure our employees and customers knew how to protect themselves and their data from cyberattacks.

To overcome the challenge, we adapted our solutions and services to the new situation and supported our customers. We used our expertise in cloud security, endpoint protection, and VPN to help customers secure their remote access and data transfers. We also provided free or discounted security assessments and consultations to identify and address security gaps. We improved communication through newsletters, webinars, blogs, and podcasts on best practices for remote work security.

We have learned a lot from this challenge and received valuable feedback from our customers. We now know that remote work is here to stay, so we need to be prepared and flexible to meet their changing needs. One of our main plans is to expand our cybersecurity resale and services into Canada, starting in Toronto. We believe that there is a huge demand and opportunity for our solutions and services in the Canadian market, as more and more businesses are facing cyber threats and challenges. We have already established a strong reputation and presence in the US, and we want to leverage our experience and expertise to help Canadian businesses protect their data and systems. Toronto is the ideal location for us to launch our expansion, as it is the largest and most diverse city in Canada and the financial and technological hub of the country. It has a vibrant and dynamic business ecosystem, with many potential customers and partners across various industries and sectors.

We plan to set up an office in Toronto and hire a local team of sales, marketing, and technical experts who can understand and cater to the needs and preferences of Canadian customers. We also plan to partner with local distributors, resellers, and service providers who can help us reach and serve more customers across the country.
