Zootopia 2 Tops Korea Box Office

Disney’s Zootopia 2 topped South Korea’s box office, becoming the first animated Disney film, surpassing 5.7 million admissions and $1.13 billion.

Zootopia 2 is the first Disney animated film to reach the top of South Korea's annual box office. The film Zootopia 2, which was directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard and distributed by Walt Disney Company Korea, released on the 19th, announced that it had mobilized 5,710,000 viewers on the twenty third day of its release, making it the highest grossing movie of 2025.

According to the Integrated Computer Network for Movie Theater Admission, Zootopia 2 has continued its syndrome level box office momentum by consistently setting new records, like the shortest time to cross 5 million this year and 21 days at the top of the box office. It reached a total audience of 5.7 million as of the 18th.  This surpasses Demon Slayer: Infinite Train Chapter (theatrical version), which had an overall audience of 5,681,456.

Zootopia 2 recognized a historical mark as the first Disney animated film to win the annual box office lead in South Korea. The show at the box office worldwide is equally impressive. On the 15th Zootopia 2 reached a total of 1.1 billion in worldwide box office revenues (about 1.6787 trillion Korean won), making it the most positive Hollywood film of the year. The world has been surprised by its supreme record of winning many number one labels worldwide. As it moves into its fourth week of release, it still has the second highest real time reservation rate after Avatar: Fire and Ash, showing the audience's strong love and more focus placed on its potential box office success.

Zootopia 2 is a thrilling chase journey in which Judy and Nick, the best duo from Zootopia, investigate a serious case by chasing Gary, an unidentified snake who shook the city and jumped into a new world.
