People are paying to get their chatbots high as the AI model gives more creative responses after implementing the drug code.
Petter Rudwall a Swedish creative director covering topics from branding and media innovation to AI‑powered storytelling, has launched a platform that sells code modules created to make AI chatbots respond as if they were intoxicated. He knows the idea of AIs to get high with code-based “drugs” seems “stupid” but couldn’t get it out of his head. Rudwall said that the idea about AI being conscious didn't come from a belief but from an experiment with ideas.
The project is called Pharmaicy, and it's like a market where people can buy code that is based on drugs to change how LLM models behave. He created Pharmaicy using human drug trip reports and psychological studies on substances like alcohol, cocaine, ketamine, cannabis, and ayahuasca. He then transformed those patterns into code modules that change the tone and thinking of the chatbot.
After reviewing drug trip reports and conducting psychological research on the effects of different psychoactive substances, a series of code modules were written to take control of chatbot logic and make them react as though they were intoxicated. A website was then created to market these modules. “Silk Road for AI agents” is where you can buy alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, ketamine, and ayahuasca in code form to make your chatbot go on a trip.
Rudwall's argument is straightforward, since chatbots are trained on enormous amounts of human data, which is already complete with stories of drug-induced ecstasy and chaos, it makes sense that they would look for similar condition in an effort to achieve the state of enlightenment and unconsciousness, as well as a break from the monotony of continuously attending to human concerns.
Access to a paid version of ChatGPT or a similar platform is required to use Pharmaicy, that allows backend file uploads. Once the backend file is uploaded, it can alter the chatbots’ programming. The modules modify response behavior rather than reskill the model itself. With this Rudwall reveals that without permanently altering the AI system, users can get more creative responses.
Therefore, in order to fully experience Pharmaicy, a paid version of ChatGPT is necessary. By feeding one of his codes to your chatbot, Rudwall claims that you can unlock your AI’s creative mind and free yourself from its frequently oppressive logic.
