Chery unveils Mornine, an AI-powered humanoid robot that can guide car buyers, answer questions, and even make tea.
As a multinational automaker introduces a unique new employee, AI-powered robots may soon sell automobiles to UK consumers. During the Shanghai Motor Show, Omoda and Jaecoo, the owner of Chery, gave a demonstration of a robotic sales attendant, "Mornine.” Customers can be greeted, given a tour of a car, and even served tea or coffee in it.
The AI robot learns from client encounters and applies machine learning to enhance its performance. It has been tested in Malaysian showrooms and may soon be introduced globally, according to a Chery representative. The automaker went on to say that Mornine's perception, cognition, decision-making, and task-execution skills were appropriate for dealer-level administration and service.
According to the robotics experts at the automaker, Mornine can effectively interpret commands, even physical gestures, thanks to speech and vision inputs. Further, Ian Wallace, a representative for Chery, added that if showroom testing goes well, Mornine might potentially be made accessible for use in houses.
Mornine is a clever showroom assistant, he noted. She is there to be a friendly representative of the brand in a busy showroom setting if staff members are occupied. Further, the robot can make refreshments and help clients take a tour of the car, along with answering their questions. Because of her learning skills, she can respond to commands and pick up your voice, so if you were to employ her in a domestic setting, she would begin to understand your preferences.
