Identity, cybersecurity, and physical security integrations are made easier with HID's new IPaaS platform, which relieves small teams' workloads and spurs innovation.
The HID Integration Service, a platform that combines digital identity management, cybersecurity, and physical security, has been launched. The goal of the integration platform-as-a-service (IPaaS), according to a release, is to simplify the integration of software and physical security systems and to lessen the strain of updates and maintenance related to overseeing and putting into practice integrations between cybersecurity and physical security systems.
According to Martin Ladstaetter, a senior vice president and head of identity and access management solutions at HID, companies have long battled with complicated, fragile connections and their maintenance costs. By connecting physical and digital security products with an integration platform, HID Integration Service removes these problems and shortens time to market for development partners creating the next generation of security solutions with increased speed, quality, resilience, and value.
By combining biometrics with other digital technologies, the service seeks to simplify administration and lower operational complexity and maintenance expenses. Features include pre-built connectors to speed up deployment and a thorough integration layer that grows from point-to-point connections into multi-party integrations.
Small teams are taxed by numerous integrations: too many tools, not enough time
The CEO of CloudCard, an early user of the HID Integration Service, is Luke Rettstatt. According to him, they see a future in which ID images appear in their designated spot on their own, without the need for human assistance. They need to build and manage a lot of integration to achieve this goal, which is difficult for a small staff. Instead of creating and managing certified integrations with outside parties, they can concentrate on RemotePhoto's AI process thanks to HID Integration Service.
According to HID's 2025 State of Security and Identity Report, over three-quarters of enterprises believe that unified data gathering is essential to their operations, and 67% of security leaders are actively moving toward software-driven security solutions.
