By 2030, Takeda hopes to improve healthcare fairness and resilience for 27 million people in 93 countries by investing JPY 4.6 billion (USD 32 million) with five new CSR partners.

As part of its continued efforts to increase the resilience of health systems in low- and middle-income nations worldwide, Takeda today pledged JPY 4.6 billion, (about USD 32 million) to five new Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners. This pledge reflects Takeda's emphasis on addressing systemic inequalities and assisting local leadership in bolstering health infrastructure, empowering healthcare workers, and expanding local expertise and capability to enhance sustainable and equitable healthcare delivery and access.

With these new agreements, Takeda's influence is expected to reach 27 million people in 93 countries by 2030. Since its inception in 2016, Takeda's Global CSR Program has contributed approximately JPY 28.8 billion, (about USD 199.1 million) through 34 major partnerships. Through a company-wide vote, over 22,000 Takeda workers from 80 countries and regions chose the five new partners, underscoring the company's dedication to an open and cooperative approach in its worldwide corporate giving program.

Since its establishment in 1781, Takeda has prioritized patients, people, and society in its business decisions, according to Takako Ohyabu, chief global corporate affairs and sustainability officer. They are dedicated to becoming a reputable partner and contributing to society in the long run by addressing global health issues. Since 2016, their Global CSR Program has been a powerful example of this dedication.

Takako said that he is very pleased with each of their new partners' careful dedication to sustainability, scalability, and equity as the pillars of resilient health systems. In addition to having a real impact, these long-term collaborations will exchange priceless knowledge, fostering innovation and better health outcomes for people everywhere, particularly for marginalized groups in remote and conflict areas.
