iHub Robotics Raises Rs 4.3 Cr Pre-Seed Funding for Growth

In a pre-seed fundraising round, U.S. investors have contributed Rs 4.3 crore, or around $520K, to the humanoid robotics business iHub Robotics.

According to a press statement from iHub Robotics, the new funding will be used to build humanoid robot production facilities in Kerala, furthering the company's goal of making India a global leader in robotics and AI-driven automation. In October 2023, the business raised $20 million in a similar round.

Athil Krishna, Akhil K. Haridasan, and Sarath S. co-founded iHub Robotics in 2021. The company offers intelligent robotics solutions that are transforming the way organizations run. Using cutting-edge technology, it seeks to revolutionize sectors so they may increase efficiency, lower costs, and boost production.

By selling its Tara Gen-1 semi-humanoid robot to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, iHub Robotics claims to have already had a major global influence. The most sophisticated semi-humanoid robot in India, Tara Gen-1, was constructed using state-of-the-art robotics and artificial intelligence technologies. It is made to work in a variety of customer service jobs, airports, train stations, healthcare facilities, and hotels, increasing automation and efficiency in these sectors.

With the use of superior human behavior intelligence, Tara Gen-1 can identify and react to human emotions, have natural conversations with AI-powered voice recognition, and make decisions in real-time while adjusting to various situations. It works well in multilingual environments and helps users with navigation, questions, and individualized assistance.

iHub claims that it is also dedicated to enabling the upcoming generation of robotics and artificial intelligence pioneers. With the goal of equipping 100,000 students with deep-tech skills that will be useful in the future, the firm has developed the iHub School of Learning, a platform devoted to teaching and training students in robotics and artificial intelligence.
