A pre-seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures has seen the Bengaluru-based B2B sales startup Revrag raise $600,000 in addition to participation from a number of well-known investors.
The investors included Deepak Anchala (founder of Slintel), Vetri Vellore (founder of Rhythms), Viral Bajaria (co-founder of 6Sense), and Kunal Shah (founder of Cred).
Ashutosh Prakash Singh, Neeraj Gupta, and Pankaj Gupta founded Revrag in 2022 with the goal of empowering revenue teams through the automation of tedious operations. The firm uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automate the first few steps of the sales process, increasing sales efficiency. This strategy has the ability to completely change how companies make money by freeing up human sales teams to concentrate on more intricate client interactions and strategic decision-making.
With the money it has raised, Revrag plans to concentrate on commercial functions like marketing and sales while also exploring a wide range of new areas. The business will also invest in the introduction of an AI-powered Business Development Representative (AI-BDR), whose purpose is to manage the initial outreach to prospects and scheduling of meetings—tasks that sales teams frequently find laborious.
Sales teams will be able to make better decisions since the AI agent will intelligently qualify prospects, automate these procedures at scale, and deliver data-driven insights. According to Singh, their AI-BDR can efficiently handle reaching out to prospects and setting up appointments, freeing up human sellers to concentrate more on customer contacts and other intricate aspects of the sales process. Emma, the AI agent that was previously launched, laid the groundwork for how companies may adapt to contemporary technologies.
