AT&T's network APIs and IoT connectivity will be integrated with Oracle's Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP). This integration will give Oracle's industry cloud clients a single platform for linking and overseeing all of their Internet of Things (IoT) devices on the AT&T network.
Through the cooperation, Oracle's suite of industry cloud apps will receive an IoT connection and near real-time communications capabilities via AT&T's network. With integrated capabilities like IoT edge application management, the all-in-one solution tries to relieve users of the hassle of handling intricate network contracts and interfaces.
Based on the high-performance and secure Oracle Cloud architecture (OCI), the unified platform provides businesses with the real-time data analytics and connectivity they require to propel innovative services and experiences. Currently, AT&T IoT connections and network API integration are available in all US OCI areas.
With the help of AT&T, ECP creates the framework for new industry applications in a variety of fields, including consumer-facing companies and industrial processes. The goal of this collaboration is to provide dependable, high-performing connectivity that stimulates creativity and makes new services possible.
Potential applications include automated electricity grid management, improved telemedicine capabilities, and communications-enabled restaurant operations.
One well-known example of this cooperation is the integration of FirstNet, the public safety network built in the US in cooperation with AT&T and ECP. This partnership serves as the cornerstone of Oracle's Public Safety Suite, enabling secure communications for critical activities. Examples of this include almost real-time camera feeds for first responders involved in incidents and dispatch command centers.
