Ecommerce platform used by Krispy Kreme raises £790k

The e-commerce automation platform Vortex IQ has raised $1 million (£790,000) in equity capital to expand internationally and hire more staff.

The financing will be used to expand across the US and Europe, hire more AI experts, grow the company's sales and marketing teams, and be led by investment firm Sure Valley Ventures with involvement from Techstars.

A few weeks after Sambit Patra, Susant Patro, and Jaiganesh Vanasubramanian, the company's founders, graduated from Techstars' Spring 2024 entrepreneurs cohort, the seed investment was made.

Additionally, Vortex IQ has introduced an AI DevOps and analytics platform for retailers. Krispy Kreme is already utilizing its UK and Ireland e-commerce operations to pilot the program, with intentions to roll it out globally by the end of 2024.

The founders' personal e-commerce industry experiences served as the basis for the business's concept. They observed that many merchants were having trouble keeping track of numerous touch points and vast volumes of data, which left them with few actionable insights and caused delays and low conversion rates.

Vortex IQ seeks to help retailers improve their conversion rates and shorten their time to market by offering real-time information, recommendations, and AI-powered implementation processes.

According to the company, since its launch, it has doubled its organic user base in the previous six months and partnered with Adobe. It states that more than a hundred merchants have been onboarded to utilize its AI-automated staging products, Dry Run Pro for Shopify and Adobe Commerce, and Staging Pro specifically tailored for BigCommerce.

Nvidia, Harley Davidson, Richer Sounds, Krispy Kreme, British Airways, Avios, and Jelly Cat are among the company's current clients.
