PM+M, a professional services business, saw a double-digit increase in turnover in the latest financial year. The company's staff increased by almost 30 in the same 12-month period.

PM+M is one of the oldest accounting, business advising and financial planning firms in the North West, founded in 1919. The company has been giving advice on audit, accounting, finance, tax, and payroll for over a century to individuals and businesses.

The company, which has offices in Bury and Blackburn, has been growing rapidly in the past 12 months. PM+M increased the number of employees on its team by 37, bringing the total to 164. Of them, 29 — including 10 apprentices who started in September — were in newly established positions since April 2023 of the previous year. The business's commitment to people's development has not wavered, as seen by the 25% increase in its training spending.

This is in response to the North West's increasing need. In PM+M's most recent fiscal year, which concluded in March, consolidated turnover rose by 15% to £10.75 million. Managing Partner Helen Clayton stated that the company is eager to maintain this pace by bolstering the team even further.

Clayton recently joined PM+M as the Managing Partner, taking over from Jane Parry after her retirement. He had been leading the team for over eight years.

The company has experienced a surge in business at the same time as a result of several other noteworthy accomplishments. The achievements were landing contracts with several important corporations in the North West, managing high-profile agreements for the corporate finance team, and maintaining Investors in People Gold Accreditation. Additionally, there have been two waves of promotions at every level for the entire group.
