Oracle Singapore government deal train 10000 students

Oracle is providing 300 students and recent graduates from five polytechnics with internship and apprenticeship opportunities.

Oracle and the Singaporean government are working together to provide up to 10,000 professionals and students with training in the newest digital technologies by 2027, such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and data science.

300 internships and apprenticeships are being made available to students and graduates across five polytechnics by Oracle thanks to a partnership with IMDA's TechSkills Accelerator for the Institute of Technical Education and Polytechnics Alliance (TIP Alliance) and Oracle University.

Furthermore, Oracle University will train and certify 9700 Singapore-based students in critical digital skills like cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI, Gen AI, data management, and autonomous databases.

Eighty percent of Asian organizations will struggle to find enough skilled AI professionals to continuously manage and update the two-thirds of cloud applications that are expected to use AI by 2027, according to IDC associate vice president Deepika Giri.

About 100 students have started their internships thus far. They will have the chance to collaborate with Oracle's industry experts and receive on-the-job training.

Additionally, Oracle has developed a Gen AI Professional Certification to equip Singaporean digital workers with cutting-edge knowledge and abilities in AI systems. In order to demonstrate their suitability for particular positions, these learners can obtain badges, which makes it easier for employers to find qualified applicants.
