SAP is empowering Businesses with Cutting-edge AI Capabilities through Strategic Collaboration.

SAP and Nvidia have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing business AI development across SAP's cloud products. The collaboration seeks to integrate platforms and services to empower customers in building and deploying generative AI capabilities tailored to their specific business needs.

Unveiled at Nvidia GTC 2024, the partnership will bring together SAP's cloud applications portfolio, including SAP Datasphere for data management, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for application development, and Rise with SAP for managed cloud services, with Nvidia's generative AI (GenAI) technologies.

The integration will enable SAP to leverage Nvidia's GenAI foundry service to fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific scenarios. Additionally, applications will be deployed using Nvidia's Inference Microservice platform, providing efficient and scalable AI deployment capabilities.

According to Philipp Herzig, SAP's chief AI officer, the partnership reflects SAP's strategy of adopting a flexible architecture to incorporate cutting-edge technologies rapidly. By collaborating with Nvidia, SAP aims to leverage existing AI capabilities while focusing on enabling seamless integration and customization for its customers.

The partnership extends beyond hardware integration, with SAP also tapping into Nvidia's software layer, including its Neural Modules (NeMo) framework. This framework enables the building, customization, and deployment of GenAI models, offering features such as retrieval-augmented generation for enhanced semantic search algorithms.
