Red Hat uses JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 8 to expand Java support in the cloud

Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP) 8 is now generally available, according to a statement made today by Red Hat, Inc., the top supplier of open source solutions worldwide.

Enhancements to security, better cloud workflow tools, and compatibility with Jakarta EE 10 are provided by JBoss EAP 8, which helps customers modernize their applications more easily and maintain support for Java enterprise application development.

Organizations still place a high premium on application modernization. The majority of firms (51%) estimate that expenditure on these efforts will increase even if current economic conditions persist, according to 451 Research, a division of S&P Global Market Intelligence. This supports the idea that modernization has no set end point.

In order to improve availability and provider support in cloud environments, boost application scalability, and improve the developer experience, organizations are adopting cloud-based application development more and more. For these companies, JBoss EAP offers a complete solution for developing, executing, deploying, and managing Java® EE (formerly Java EE) applications in a range of settings, such as virtual, on-premise, and private, public, and hybrid clouds.

JBoss EAP has a modular architecture that launches services only when needed, making it ideal for the open hybrid cloud. JBoss EAP is a perfect fit for many kinds of scenarios, including Red Hat OpenShift, where effective resource usage is a top concern, because of its small memory footprint and quick startup times. Red Hat JBoss EAP 7's lightweight, cloud-native features are expanded upon in JBoss EAP 8, which also lowers operational overhead and facilitates modernization.
