JSW Group has unveiled ambitious plans to establish an integrated steel plant, power plant, port facility, and cement plant in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, signaling a significant investment of Rs 65,000 crore. This move aims to bolster the industrial landscape of the region and create a substantial number of employment opportunities.

The proposed steel plant is slated to produce an impressive 13.2 million tons of steel annually, which is expected to generate around 30,000 jobs, providing a substantial boost to the local economy. Additionally, the port and jetty project associated with this initiative is projected to handle a staggering 52 million tons of cargo each year, further enhancing the region's logistics infrastructure.

Furthermore, the cement plant included in the project will have a production capacity of 10 million tons, contributing to the growing demand for construction materials in the area. Additionally, an iron ore slurry transportation system, with a capacity to transport 30 million tons per annum, will complement the steel manufacturing process, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
