Hollywood's vision of robots and humans working together has been a topic of discussion in recent films, with AI and robots currently working in a restaurant kitchen.

Hollywood has long had the idea that robots and people would live side by side. While this collaboration is usually a surefire way to go wrong in Hollywood movies, AI and robotics are already working together in a restaurant kitchen in this nearby area of Tinseltown.

CaliExpress is a restaurant located in the center of Pasadena, California. Vic Aulakh, the proprietor of the company, claims that this is the first time that so much technology has been in one location.

The burger business makes use of "Flippy," a Miso Robotics robot that can cook food, and a Cucina robot for its grill. Both robots are capable of producing large amounts of food: the grill robot can cook roughly 100 burgers in an hour, and Flippy can produce 250 pounds of French fries in an hour.

Co-founder Rob Anderson of Miso Robotics stated that the business began developing the automaton six years prior.

CaliExpress employs more than just robotic cooks. The restaurant's artificial intelligence-powered ordering system tracks customer preferences and payment using facial recognition software provided by Pop ID. According to the inventor of the device, surveillance does not take place on this system.

CaliExpress plans to employ two human back-of-house workers, a small portion of hiring for a non-mechanized kitchen, to offset the potential wage increase in the state.
