Commercial service robots are most common in East Asia, but Pudu Technology Co. believes that by 2024, other parts of the world might catch up.
East Asia is the region where commercial service robots are most prevalent, but Pudu Technology Co. predicts that by 2024, the rest of the globe may catch up. The company, situated in Shenzhen, China, asserted that it is the leading exporter of these robots from China.
Felix Zhang, the CEO and founder of Pudu Robotics, said that 2024 will be the year of the robot if 2023 was the year of artificial intelligence. Despite the 2023 buzz around humanoid and food-making robots, underappreciated robots that efficiently deliver goods and clean floors are poised for growth in 2024.
According to Pudu Robotics, it deployed robots in 600 cities across 60 nations last year. In addition, the company won Red Dot and iF Design awards, collaborated with SoftBank and Nippon Otis Elevators, and made its autonomous mobile robot (AMR) management platform available to developers. Furthermore, it obtained Series C3 capital totaling over $15 million.
Given that almost one-sixth of Americans are now 65 years of age or older and that life expectancy is rising due to medical improvements, PUDU's robots are particularly relevant. One of the main causes of this severe healthcare staffing issue is our aging population.
Healthcare robots will become increasingly prevalent in senior living homes, monitoring schedules, medication reminders, body temperature changes, and alerting relatives and medical experts.
