William Peffer will succeed Jim Morrison as CEO of Maserati North America. Morrison will assume leadership of the recently formed Jeep Performance Parts company.

Jeep is gaining new leadership in North America, as the company is headed for a fifth year of declining sales in the United States.

Jim Morrison will be replaced as the leader of Jeep in the region by Maserati North America CEO William Peffer, parent firm Stellantis announced on Wednesday. Morrison has been appointed as the new business's leader for Jeep Performance Parts.

When Peffer joined Stellantis at the end of 2020, he was its COO for a mere week. Peffer was a sales executive for Kia Motors America previously.

They were starting a new chapter for the area, according to a statement from Stellantis North America COO Mark Stewart. He expressed confidence that Bill and Jim would both bring their passion and laser-like focus on customers to their new roles.

Peffer will be replaced at Maserati by Kelly MacDonald, who was appointed chief marketing officer for Maserati Americas earlier this year. She will be in charge of the company's activities in the United States and Canada. Previously, MacDonald worked in sales and marketing for Lucid Motors, General Motors, Nissan, and the erstwhile DaimlerChrysler.

Maserati's chief commercial officer, Bernard Loire, will be her boss.

The changes take effect on December 1.

These are pivotal times for both brands. The midsize Wagoneer S and the Wrangler-inspired Recon are the two EVs that Jeep plans to introduce in 2024. Maserati wants to go to all-electric vehicles by 2030 and is phasing out its V-8 engines this year. The Grecale and GranTurismo electric versions are expected to make their American debut in 2024.
