The Skoda Slavia facelift brings sharper styling, upgraded technology, enhanced comfort and an eight-speed automatic gearbox, strengthening its appeal among sedan buyers.
The Skoda Slavia facelift has arrived with a sharper look, more technology and a major gearbox upgrade aimed at making the sedan even more appealing to Indian buyers. Pre-bookings have opened, while prices will be announced in October. The refreshed sedan also introduces a new colour, a 360 degree camera, a rear-seat massage function and an 8 speed automatic option for its 1.0 TSI engine.
A sharper Slavia without losing its identity
The Skoda Slavia facelift clearly advances the sedan's familiar look rather than completely reimagining it. Sleeker fog lamps, revamped bumpers, a reworked grille and new LED headlights with modernised DRL signatures are all added to the front. An additional visual change is provided by new 16 inch alloy wheels.
Redesigned LED tail lights at the back now have sequential turn indicators and the SKODA inscription is displayed in a new trim between the lamps. Red brake callipers, red grille elements, unique badging and a sporty black interior with red accents set the Monte Carlo version apart. The colour scheme now has ten choices due to two new shades: Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. December 2026 will see the start of Cappuccino Beige deliveries.
Bigger screens and more comfort inside
The cabin retains its familiar layout but gets a substantial technology improvement. A new 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster replaces the earlier 8 inch unit, while the infotainment screen grows to 10.1 inches and now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The major upgrades to the Slavia's comfort are a 360 degree camera and a rear-seat massage function, which were previously found in the Kushaq. A cooled glovebox, six airbags, wireless charging, cruise control, rear AC vents and ventilated front seats are further features.
However, the sedan still misses some increasingly popular features. ADAS, rear ventilated seats, rear sun blinds and a separate rear climate zone remain unavailable.

The gearbox is the biggest talking point
The iconic 1.0 TSI still generates 115 horsepower and 178 Nm under the hood. It can now be used with an 8 speed torque-converter automatic, which replaces the previous 6 speed automatic, or a 6 speed manual.
The bigger 1.5 TSI, which still generates 150 horsepower and 250 Nm, is paired with only a 7 speed DSG in the new range. It is still limited to the more expensive Prestige and Monte Carlo versions.
The gearbox upgrade might be especially crucial when the Skoda Slavia facelift takes on rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus. The outgoing Slavia was priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh, ex-showroom. A price increase of up to eighty five thousand rupees is expected, even though official pricing is still pending.
Business Fortune is of the view that the Slavia facelift strengthens its appeal with modern features, improved comfort and better automatic convenience.
