Omron’s new Bengaluru Automation Centre boosts India’s Industry 4.0 drive, empowering SMEs with advanced automation and skill development.
Omron, a Japan-based industrial automation technology organization, has recently opened a New Automation Centre in Bengaluru, India. In the company’s global addition, this facility is the newest addition, which includes 44 Automation Centres and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) labs. The new scheme aims to help small and mid-sized companies to develop their production capabilities and adopt globally modest automation solutions across South India.
The centre will contribute to the government for Make in India industrial strategy and Industry 4.0 adoptions by the provision of partnership space where manufacturers, machine builders, and Integration engineers can explore automation strategies, trial concepts, and develop technical training.
The investment comes when India and Japan are extending economic contacts. Japan has secured investment of ¥10 trillion ($68bn) over the next decade in high-tech regions such as semiconductors and digital organization.
According to Motohiro Yamanishi, Omron Industrial Automation Company president, they see huge potential in the dynamism of India’s manufacturing sector. The automation Centre underscores India’s insightful significance to the global inclusive Asia Pacific vision and is designed to work hand-in-hand with native partners to improve global competitiveness and jointly address increasing societal demand through innovative automation.
Sameer Gandhi, Omron Automation India’s managing director, stated that their Automation Centre takes a solution-based approach to support Indian manufacturers in handling the challenges of building safer workplaces, carrying advanced quality goods, and improving efficiencies. He added that the new project would comprise a manufacturing ecosystem that has an important role in protecting public health, less wastage, driving economic growth, and improving efficiency.
Since 2013, CAGR of over 15 per cent, comparably more than 20 per cent over the past three years, OMRON Automation in India is committed to remaining this by targeting over 15 per cent CAGR and improving revenue of Rs 600 crore in FY25. The newly established Centre will also focus on the skill development of over 1,000 industry engineers per year.
