With the help of Reaching out to Animals, People for Animals (PFA) Mysuru launched a free vaccination campaign, vaccinating 127 dogs on the first day and spreading knowledge about rabies prevention and pet health.
A vaccination campaign has been started by People For Animals (PFA), Mysuru, in collaboration with Reaching Out To Animals, to commemorate World Rabies Day on September 28. The campaign will last for a week.
The goal of the anti-rabies vaccination campaign, which got underway on September 23, is to raise awareness of the need for pet immunization and rabies prevention. According to PFA, the World Health Organization and the Global Alliance for Rabies Control celebrate the day worldwide and honor Louis Pasteur, the French scientist who created the first rabies vaccine.
127 dogs were vaccinated on the first day of the drive in various locations, including Kergalli, Salhundi, Nanjarajayahundi, Ramnahalli, Hanchya, Mahadevpura, Sattgalli, Bharatnagar, Vishveshwaranagar, Manandavadi Road, Kuvempunagar 2nd Stage, BEML Nagar, Shivapura, Srirampura, and so on, according to a press release.
Additionally, several dogs were vaccinated for the first time since some owners had not previously understood the significance of vaccination. In order to assist pet owners in keeping their animals safe and healthy, volunteers also gave community talks about the advantages of the Animal Birth Control program and the anti-rabies vaccine. Additionally, the announcement stated that from September 23 to 28, the PFA shelter in Bogadi would be providing free anti-rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats.
