In a pre-seed round, the US-based investment company Brahma Tank contributed Rs2 Crore to CureAble, a healthcare business located in Delhi that specializes in customized treatments for kids with unique needs.
The money will be utilized to expand their staff and open more rehabilitation facilities and special schools throughout India. Along with community outreach programs, the plan calls for speeding up the development of specialized treatment instruments and technology. According to founder Krishnakant Singh, these actions will revolutionize the way special needs treatments are delivered and bring creativity and empathy to therapy-based services, transforming the special needs care industry.
Every child is different, yet treatment is sometimes seen as a one-size-fits-all solution, leaving many without any meaningful development, according to founder Vikas Deep, who has more than 12 years of expertise in special needs therapy. To deliver treatment that genuinely works, CureAble takes a very individualized approach, getting to know each child's needs, capabilities, and problems. Their daily motivation comes from witnessing youngsters develop and form connections in ways their families once thought were impossible.
One in eight children in India suffer from a neurodivergent disorder, including millions of children with Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, mental retardation, slow learners, and other developmental difficulties. Remarkably, up to 80% of these kids don't get the treatment they need. Over 1.2 billion individuals worldwide suffer from these illnesses, and by 2028, the global market is projected to grow to a value of USD 68.6 billion.
Childhood friends Krishnakant Singh, Arbob Mehmood, Atabik Fasahat, and Vikas Deep founded CureAble in July 2023 to revolutionize special needs care for neurodivergent kids by taking a planned, individualized, and trackable approach to their growth.
