SAP has shown new developments and integrated generative AI throughout the SAP SuccessFactors 2024 HCM package.
Additionally, the recently purchased WalkMe tool was shown for the first time within a SAP platform. The SAP annual HR client event, SuccessConnect, was selected to showcase the company's future for the SAP ecosystem after the SAP purchase of WalkMe digital adoption platform (DAP) leader WalkMe was concluded in September. Pre-built WalkMe content will be added to SAP SuccessFactors solutions in the first half of 2025, with digital adoption being referred to as "the missing link" to enhance employee experience and adoption across common workflows.
The WalkMe launch coincided with the release of new SuccessFactors enhancements, including:
In order to provide a unified perspective of talents for every employee and the company, customers may now compile and harmonize data from third-party solutions in the talent intelligence center.
New generative AI (GenAI) features that enhance the whole talent lifecycle for employees. Joule, SAP's AI copilot, can now assist staff members with the onboarding process by encouraging them to finish forms, e-signatures, and data reviews.
In 2025, a much-anticipated new WalkMe integration for LinkedIn was teased, claiming to be real-time and bidirectional.
SAP SuccessFactors president and chief product officer Dan Beck stated in a post-keynote Q&A that many customers, including Nestle, were already testing SAP WalkMe in SuccessFactors with "compelling" results.
According to Beck, it makes sense to introduce WalkMe in SuccessFactors first. Although it will integrate with SAP Ariba and other components of the SAP Spend Management portfolio, SuccessFactors is the main HCM product, which is why it was not mentioned during SAP's most recent Spend Connect live event.
The main points Beck wishes to emphasize, however, are that SuccessFactors has the most cloud-native apps and is more inventive than other SAP products; for instance, the platform was the first to introduce Joule.
As research into how WalkMe data may be included into instances like SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud continues, WalkMe stays on the engineering side alongside Beck's product team.
