Ricoh, a Japanese electronics and photography firm, has created a centralized data processing and analysis system and migrated its on-premises operations to the cloud.
The company's GLIDER data infrastructure initiative will benefit from this. The project's goal is to combine raw data from operations, sales, and inventory from Ricoh Group, which manages more than 50 businesses.
The business is now using the cloud-native Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform instead of Informatica's PowerCenter environment. This saves on migration expenses, time, and labor by enabling it to fully utilize the current PowerCenter assets in the cloud. It will also cut down on the time and man-hours needed to process and analyze data.
According to Ricoh's Yoshinobu Hamanaka, deputy general manager of process, IT, and data management, the company has upgraded the Informatica PowerCenter solution to an AI-driven, cloud-native version of Informatica IDMC. IDMC provides a low-code/no-code environment, an intuitive user interface, and the scalability and flexibility to adjust to dynamic business contexts.
In addition, Hamanaka noted that it ensures ongoing innovation and service enhancement for a better digital workflow experience by reducing users' everyday tasks and increasing productivity and operational efficiency. Users that have centralized data management are able to provide tailored service delivery, promptly respond to consumer requests, and access data pertaining to customer information.
Users can expedite and improve operations by effectively managing and processing data in a flexible manner.
