Famous fashion retailer H&M introduced a new store with a new concept
The fashion giant H&M has returned to New York City's SoHo district with the opening of a new concept shop. The store was developed by the brand's in-house architecture team, with influence from SoHo galleries. The womenswear collection, in particular, has been carefully picked to match the neighborhood. From sophisticated fashion to trend-driven products, the store aspires to provide a diverse selection that allows customers to express their styles. Linda Li, head of customer activation and marketing at H&M Americas, stated that after establishing the first US secondhand platform 'H&M Pre-Loved' online last year, the firm was excited to broaden this offering by launching H&M SoHo, the first secondhand shop-in-shop in North America.
Alongside merchandise, H&M SoHo focuses on the customer experience with elements such as smartphone payments and smart mirrors in changing rooms. Furthermore, the store uses RFID-enabled technology to increase stock accuracy and speed up replenishment from the stockroom to the sales floor. Carlos Duarte, president of H&M Americas, stated that the new location represents the company's return to SoHo. The firm has been exploring different store concepts in NYC, such as the recent H&M Williamsburg store experience, to provide the greatest, most enhanced shopping experience for our clients. Duarte expressed excitement about bringing H&M SoHo to life with handpicked, trend-driven merchandise as well as an innovative second-hand offering.
