Verve CEO and Co-Founder Bill Weinstein left the agency after 14 long years

Bill Weinstein has departed from Verve Talent Agency after serving as CEO for just over a year and contributing to the literary boutique's growth since its inception 14 years ago, following Endeavor's acquisition of the William Morris Agency. Verve confirmed Weinstein's departure in a statement issued late Monday, expressing gratitude for his co-founding role and lengthy tenure at the agency. The statement, attributed to "Verve leadership," announced that Weinstein's CEO position would not be replaced but instead shared among the founders and managing partner. Weinstein, a driving force behind Verve since its establishment in 2010, had worked alongside co-founders Bryan Besser and Adam Levine, starting from the mailroom at Endeavor and progressing to junior film and TV literary agents in the early 2000s.

His departure marks the first among the three founding partners of Verve. Despite Weinstein's exit, Verve has evolved significantly, establishing a robust clientele in both TV and film. However, the agency still grapples with the challenges typical of smaller firms, including retaining high-profile clients and navigating industry upheavals such as the talent agency packaging fee dispute of 2019–2020 and subsequent strikes by the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA in 2023. In a move reflecting its growth trajectory, Verve expanded its operations last year by relocating to a new 53,000-square-foot office space in Hollywood, accommodating approximately 50 agents and support staff members.
