Business Fortune

Founded in 2010, Peloton Consulting Group was built on a simple belief: successful business transformation happens when people, processes, data, and technology work together. The company recognized early that many technology implementations failed not because of the solutions themselves, but because organizations often overlooked the human side of change, including team alignment, process clarity, and trust.
Guided by this philosophy, Peloton developed an approach that places people first, optimizes processes, and uses technology as an enabler of sustainable growth. Through its proprietary Breakaway Methodology and Business Adoption Models, the firm helps organizations implement change through practical, incremental steps that strengthen adoption and create long-term value.
The company’s name reflects the cycling concept of a peloton, where riders move together to achieve greater results through shared effort and momentum. Today, Peloton Consulting Group has grown into a global Oracle Strategic Partner, while maintaining its commitment to customer success, employee empowerment, and meaningful transformation.
Business Fortune spoke exclusively with Guy F. Daniello, Founder and CEO of Peloton Consulting Group, who shared how the company is redefining digital transformation through a people-first approach that combines business strategy, process optimization, data, and technology. From enterprise cloud solutions and AI innovation to managed services and long-term partnerships, Peloton is helping organizations achieve measurable outcomes, accelerate growth, and build sustainable business value in an increasingly digital world.
Interview Highlights
Organizations today are increasingly outsourcing application management and support. What trends are driving the growing demand for managed services, and how is Peloton adapting its offerings to address these evolving needs?
Three trends are driving this demand. Cloud applications continue to evolve, with quarterly updates requiring ongoing attention rather than periodic upgrades. Organizations want to focus their internal talent on business priorities instead of system administration. At the same time, clients increasingly expect their partners to deliver continuous value long after implementation.
Our answer is Continuous Innovation, an approach to managed services that redefines long-term partnerships in a cloud-native world. With 24/7 global support capabilities, we help clients adapt, enhance, and AI-enable their platforms as their businesses evolve. Managed services is no longer about simply keeping the lights on; it is about maximizing and compounding the value of every technology investment.
Peloton supports critical enterprise functions, including finance management, financial planning, reporting, human capital management, and supply chain operations. In your experience, which of these areas are currently undergoing the most rapid transformation, and what factors are driving this change?
Finance is transforming the fastest. Enterprise performance management, planning, and reporting are being reshaped by AI through predictive forecasting, intelligent close processes, and real-time insights into costs and profitability. The CFO’s office has become the front line of AI adoption because the value is highly measurable.
Human capital management is a close second, accelerated in our case by our strategic partnership with Camptra Technologies, including the acquisition of its professional services business. This move has strengthened one of our fastest-growing practices, Oracle Cloud HCM, by adding specialized talent and proprietary AI innovation.
Supply chain is also undergoing its own revolution, with autonomous optimization and predictive capabilities becoming standard expectations. What connects all three areas is the shift from systems of record to systems of outcomes.
As companies become increasingly data-driven, building trust in data and the ability to transform information into actionable insights have become critical. How do you help organizations strengthen their data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities?
Trusted data is the foundation for measurable business outcomes. We help organizations build that trust in three ways: by establishing governance and a common data foundation so everyone works from the same set of numbers; by connecting analytics directly to the business processes where decisions are made rather than leaving insights trapped in dashboards; and by building reporting and planning capabilities that turn information into action. Intelligent forecasting and real-time insights are only as effective as the data foundation beneath them, which is why we build both together.
What differentiates Peloton’s approach in terms of its domain expertise, structured methodologies, and ability to build long-term client partnerships?
Three things set us apart. First, we bring a business-first consulting approach grounded in deep industry expertise. We understand our clients’ industries as deeply as we understand the technology that supports them. Second, our structured methodology, including the Breakaway Methodology and purpose-built accelerators, helps compress timelines, reduce risk, and deliver measurable results faster. Third, we build partnerships designed to last, both with our clients and within our alliances.
Our relationship with Oracle, shaped by decades of collaboration, is built on three enduring principles: trust and a deep understanding of each other’s technology and services; a shared commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience; and a continuous focus on helping clients drive digital transformation. Together, we enable organizations to gain deeper business insights, understand costs and profitability, operate more efficiently, manage a global workforce, and accelerate growth.
Clients often describe us as “big enough to matter, small enough to care.” That balance is intentional, and our growth demonstrates its success, with consistent double-digit growth and seven appearances on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.
Cloud platforms, advanced analytics, and AI are reshaping how organizations operate. How is Peloton integrating emerging technologies into its solutions to help clients unlock deeper insights and achieve greater operational efficiency?
AI is reshaping every enterprise, but we believe its value is realized only when it is embedded into business processes that deliver measurable outcomes. Our philosophy is simple: fire bullets, then cannonballs. We test ideas through small, low-risk experiments, learn what works, and only then invest at scale. That is exactly how we approached AI.
Our refined AI strategy is built on a single conviction: AI must be embedded directly into core enterprise applications, data, and cloud infrastructure rather than bolted on as an experiment. This conviction is codified in our Next Generation AI Framework, which helps organizations move beyond pilots toward measurable business impact. It is powered by the Peloton Oracle AI Development Center, one of the industry’s first dedicated Oracle AI development centers and our AI center of excellence.
As an Oracle Strategic Partner and Anaplan Gold Partner, we lead AI enablement across Oracle Cloud Fusion applications. Our AI Strategy Practice helps customers activate the intelligence already embedded within their Oracle investments, while our Smart Order AI Agent has earned recognition in the Oracle SCM AI Challenge.
We apply this same approach internally. Our operations are powered by AI Virtual Workers that automate repetitive tasks, because our best innovations have always come from the people closest to the work. That is not a coincidence; it is by design.
Across every initiative, the goal remains the same: to help clients move further and faster without compromising the human judgment that makes transformation sustainable.
Looking ahead, what major challenges do you see organizations facing in their digital transformation journeys over the next few years, and how is your company preparing to help clients navigate those challenges?
The biggest challenge is turning AI enthusiasm into measurable business value. AI is accelerating enterprise transformation, clients are demanding integrated, end-to-end solutions, and the gap between leaders and laggards continues to widen. Navigating this shift requires a partner with the scale to lead complex global programs and the discipline to keep transformation focused on people and outcomes.
That is exactly why we began our next chapter in 2026 with a strategic growth investment from Sunstone Partners. The investment validates what we have built: strong leadership, consistent growth, and trusted relationships with our customers and partners. It strengthens our foundation and accelerates our next phase of growth, allowing us to scale what we already do well while remaining grounded in the culture, values, and client-first approach that define us.
Peloton is the platform for this next stage of growth. For our customers, nothing changes in how we work: the same team, the same delivery model, and the same commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes. What changes is our ability to go further, move faster, and deliver even greater long-term value.
