Technology breakthroughs, shifting employee expectations, and a growing emphasis on sustainability are driving a rapid evolution in leadership. Traditional methods often fall short, necessitating a more flexible, human-centered approach that fosters resilience and trust.
Established in 2016 by David Fiorucci, who has 27 years of management experience in Europe, the LP³ model provides a unified language of guidance that is understood across all organizational levels, from the CEO to frontline staff. This approach forms the foundation of successful leadership.
The organization equips leaders with tools to drive lasting change, including the OCTO-Check, LP³ Momentum, and the LP³ 360° Evaluation. Named as one of the "Global Best Companies to Watch in 2025", LP³ Leadership is committed to shaping the future of leadership through transformation, alignment, and trust.
In an exclusive interview with Business Fortune, David Fiorucci, CEO shared the journey behind LP³, its evolution, and its vision for leadership in a rapidly changing world. Below is an excerpt from the interview.
LP³ Leadership is built on a unique leadership model. Could you share the story behind its inception and the driving force behind its creation?
The LP³ model was developed over 30 years ago from the observation that many leadership models weren't universally understood within organizations. I wanted to create a model that was simple and applicable across all levels and industries. I began asking employees and frontline workers, “What does a good leader mean to you, and what do you expect from them?” This question yielded over 37,000 responses worldwide, highlighting nine core leadership dimensions centered around self-reflection, as great leadership starts from within.
Even today, these principles remain relevant amid advancements in AI and analytics. The name LP³ reflects its depth and ambition: L stands for Leadership, and P raised to the power of three represents Potential, Power, and Performance. Together, they define a leadership philosophy that is simple to grasp yet transformative in impact — a model that not only speaks to executives but also to every employee in an organization, without exception.
Leadership philosophies often evolve over time. How has LP³ Leadership adapted to changing business dynamics while staying true to its core values?
From the start, LP³ has been rooted in simplicity, coherence, and empowerment. These values haven’t changed — but how we apply them has. In today’s BANI world (Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear, Incomprehensible), leaders need new tools to navigate uncertainty while remaining human.
That’s why we developed innovations like the OCTO-Check, a leadership maturity assessment based on our Octocracy model, and LP³ Momentum, which allows organizations to measure their transformation index — combining cultural inertia with leadership agility. These tools help us stay aligned with our values while continuously evolving with the needs of businesses globally.
LP³ Leadership is known for its structured leadership model. Can you walk us through the core services and solutions you offer to businesses?
Our core offering is a structured yet flexible leadership model built around three interconnected pillars:
These pillars are supported by tools such as the LP³ 360° Evaluation, OCTO-Check, and LP³ Momentum, as well as tailor-made leadership journeys, cultural transformation programs, and our Train-the-Trainer academy.
The LP³ model emphasizes a common guidance language across all levels of a company. What inspired this approach, and how does it transform leadership in organisations?
One of the greatest risks in leadership is misunderstanding — not just in communication, but in expectations and intent. We wanted to create a shared leadership language that unites all levels of an organization.
This is inspired by my conviction that leadership is collective. When everyone — from frontline staff to executives — shares a common framework, it builds alignment and purpose. This clarity fosters momentum and reduces resistance to change, making leadership transformation faster and more lasting.
How does LP³ Leadership ensure that leadership remains human and emotionally intelligent in an increasingly digital and fast-paced business world?
Technology can enhance leadership, but it should never replace the human element. At LP³, we combine data-driven insights with emotional intelligence development. Our LP³ 360° evaluation, for instance, allows leaders to see not just how they perform, but how they are perceived — highlighting strengths and developmental areas through a deeply human lens.
Moreover, we train leaders to cultivate psychological safety, empathy, and courageous feedback — qualities that build trust and resilience in fast-changing environments.
LP³ Leadership aims to make the world more comprehensible and the economy more sustainable. Can you share a success story where the model has had a transformative impact on a company or leader?
Rather than a single success story, what’s most remarkable is the consistency of the feedback we receive across all the organizations, institutions, and businesses we accompany — whether in Switzerland or abroad, large corporations or small and medium-sized enterprises. The echo is always the same: the LP³ approach works — simply, powerfully, and sustainably.
Clients regularly tell us that what makes the difference is:
The simplicity of the model, allows everyone to understand and apply it — from the boardroom to the front line.
People consistently say: “We finally feel ready — not just to face the future, but to shape it.”
What’s truly transformative is the awareness that arises. A new conscious equilibrium begins to take root — an alignment between values, behaviors, and goals. And that’s exactly the kind of impact I want to create: leaders who are aware of their impact.
When leaders understand the positive effects of their actions, they can amplify them. And when they recognize untapped potential, they are more likely to develop it. Conscious leaders cause fewer collateral damages. They lead with intention, coherence, and responsibility — which is the foundation of a more sustainable and human economy.
This is not just a theoretical ambition; it’s what we witness every day in the field — and it’s what continues to drive the evolution of LP³ Leadership.
With LP³ already expanding internationally, which markets or industries do you see as the next frontier for its impact? Are there new leadership tools or methodologies LP³ is developing to address the emerging needs of businesses?
Our international expansion is fueled by strategic collaborations, particularly at the LP³ Hub in France, where we partner with Wassati, an AI expert. Together, we are developing advanced algorithms to analyze open-ended responses to the question, “What does a good leader mean to you?” This deep analysis helps uncover hidden patterns and evolving expectations among employees, enhancing our diagnostic capabilities and enabling more tailored leadership development strategies.
We offer a suite of innovative tools, including:
Beyond tools, we are focusing on inner leadership transformation with the Cloister of Suspended Time — a seven to eight-day experience for participants to develop personal leadership projects for themselves, their families, and society. This retreat encourages reflection and reconnection with core values to empower leaders to act consciously and create meaningful change.
