What inspired the founding of CoverEase?
Excellent query. It has traditionally taken a lot of time and energy to shop for and buy life insurance, employee benefits, and company insurance. Getting comparison estimates from several insurance providers can take days, weeks, and sometimes even months if an excessive number of paper applications are required. My team worked with our clients in tandem with several company underwriters to finalize their estimates prior to CoverEase becoming a reality. For instance, we can shop workers' compensation insurance with more than ten different insurance providers to make sure our clients are receiving the best deal possible.
That amounts to a great deal of back and forth and waiting around during the underwriting procedure. I'm constantly asking myself how we might enhance the insurance purchasing experience for customers without undervaluing our experience and knowledge.
Joe Fox, Vice President of AmTrust North America, entered our offices in 2018 and mentioned, "Shawn, I'm just now learning about this 'API technology' that AmTrust just launched." It seems like something you would be highly interested in taking part in. We thoroughly examine a new carrier's compatibility with technology, underwriting appetite, competitive pricing, real-time underwriting, and service levels before adding them to our platform. Are there any new services that are prepared for release?

What lies ahead for your business and its clientele? Are interesting developments imminent?
Our future isn't even close to being thrilling, which is ironic considering how few people find insurance to be "exciting." Our ability to streamline operations, cut expenses, and free up time as our platform develops benefits not only the business but also our clients, carriers, and channel partners.
In August 2022, our CoverEase national advertising campaign debuted with spots showcasing Lightning Max, our quote-worthy golden retriever mascot.
Last month, CoverEase obtained its WBENC certification. For American women-owned enterprises, it is the gold standard. Additionally, we are now onboarding a number of sizable channel partners, which presents a fantastic potential for all concerned.
