The following excerpts have been taken from a conversation with Anil Kumar, the Founder and CEO of Cavisson Systems, Inc.
Q. What is Cavisson Systems’ story? How did the company begin, and how has it grown over the years?
Cavisson Systems has been operating in Silicon Valley since 2011 to solve real-world business challenges related to application performance. As founders, we have a lot of experience in the performance domain, having been in the industry since the beginning of our careers. Drawing from our firsthand experience as both end-users and power users, we identified shortcomings in existing technologies and sought to revolutionize the performance engineering space with an unmatched approach. From the outset, Cavisson has prioritized optimizing online customer experiences, which are crucial for performance and business success.
Our innovative approach has led organizations to transition from legacy systems to our solutions. This is because the insights and accuracy provided by Cavisson are impossible to achieve with legacy solutions. We’ve successfully implemented our products and services at several Fortune 500 organizations, significantly optimizing their critical applications. Suffice it to say, our earliest customers remain with us to this day, highlighting our commitment towards excellence and innovation as we have continually adapted to meet their requirements in the ever-evolving technical landscape.
Q. What set of events led you to start the experience management platform?
One of our chief motivator behind the Experience Management Platform was to solve a big problem: how organizations can be better equipped to handle application failures and make sense of multitudes of data to ensure minimum impact on the customer experience. We realized that resolving issues was a complex task that required the use of various tools from different providers. This fragmented approach created silos within an organization, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact root cause of issues.
To streamline this process, we developed a unified platform that incorporates our proprietary solutions, KeyData™ and InternetTrue™. InternetTrue™ is a new method that simulates real world user traffic to help organizations accurately test their applications. KeyData™, on the other hand, makes data ingestion and correlation magnitude times faster and more accurate for RCA. The experience management platform combines testing, observability, virtualization, and chaos engineering in a single platform to create a digital immune system. This eliminates the need for having multiple tools with steep learning curves that still fail to accurately identify the underlying cause behind an issue hampering the user experience.
Q. What challenges did you have to overcome in your professional journey, and what lessons did you learn from them?

With 25+ Years of technology experience, Anil has helped build highly successful technology products at BEA Systems (now part of Oracle) and C-DOT, India. Prior to Cavisson, Anil was founder and CEO at Abeona Networks that was backed by the most prominent VCs including Kleiner Perkins, Caufield & Byers (KPCB), and Sequoia Capital. Anil holds an M.S. in Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi India.
