Trump Prime-Time Address Tonight

Ahead of a crucial midterm election year, President Donald Trump will give a live speech from the White House at 9 p.m. EST, praising his accomplishments since January and laying out his goals.

President Trump announced that on Wednesday night, he will give a live prime-time speech to the country from the White House.

He said on Truth Social on Tuesday afternoon that he will give a speech to the country the next evening, broadcasting live from the White House at 9 p.m. EST, according to a post on X (previously Twitter). He added that he anticipates "seeing" people at that time. The nation has had a fantastic year, and the best is still to come!

The president will discuss his achievements since taking office in January and outline his intentions for the next three years, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

In anticipation of what is anticipated to be a challenging midterm election year, the White House and the president have been attempting to emphasize his record to voters. Last week, Mr. Trump traveled to Pennsylvania to give a speech in which he promoted his economic proposals. On Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance traveled to Pennsylvania to further the objectives of the government.

The majority of Mr. Trump's speeches to the country this year have followed acts of violence. On November 26, the White House broadcast the president's final speech to the country following the shooting of two West Virginia National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., not far from the White House. At the time, Mr. Trump was in Florida.

Also, the White House has made available recorded Oval Office speeches, such as those from September 9 following the death of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska and September 10 following the murder of Charlie Kirk. On March 4, he addressed a joint session of Congress.

During his first administration, the president gave just three live speeches from the Oval Office, none of which took place near the end of the year.
