Business Fortune: CISF Guards Navi Mumbai Airport

Navi Mumbai International Airport security is regulated by CISF, showing capability for major activities and future growth.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was formally assigned to regulate security at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and has taken a step toward initiating business activities.

According to NMIA, the Central Industrial Security Force will provide full security at airports, from entry regulation and perimeter security to surveillance and emergency response, marking an important step forward in readiness for operation. Along with this, both NMIAL and CISF confirm their dedication to safeguarding an elite, safe, and secure airport environment.

Praveer Ranjan, Director-General, CISF, specified that he discussed it with the media after NMIA became the 71st airport that came under the elite CISF's security, marking an important achievement. Also, they are being welcomed into our 71st airport. Jewar Airport in Uttar Pradesh served as the previous airport. This airport is the 71st for arriving at CISF. With about 40 million passengers a year, it will become one of the largest international airports in the future, making it a very major growth. From the standpoint of strategy, this is essential to them because it will involve domestic, international, and cargo operations.

On October 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the new Navi Mumbai International Airport. Mumbai, Pune, and the Konkan region will all benefit from increased trade and travel as a result of the airport. The second airport in Mumbai was awarded recently the location code NMI by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). IndiGo, Akasa Air, and Air India Express are among the airlines that have specified their intention to start operating at the new airport, with the first flights serving a number of local locations.

The airport will be handling more than 3.2 million metric tons of cargo annually and serve 90 million passengers. Also, the management has already given them the most advanced technology, and CISF is dedicated to providing outstanding safety and following all security regulations. The partnership with CISF and the management of Navi Mumbai International Airport will strengthen in the future.
