As Prince Harry, Michael Bublé, and Luisana Lopilato commemorated the 2025 Invictus Games, Meghan Markle ate at Vancouver's renowned Vij's, where she indulged in only spicy Indian food while pregnant.
Meghan Markle's passion for fiery Indian cuisine during her pregnancy brought her and Prince Harry to Vancouver's Vij's with Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato. Chef Vikram Vij remembered Meghan's love of spicy food and her inclination for Indian food, even asking for additional chili.
Everyone can relate to food cravings, whether they are celebrities or regular individuals. Previously, during her pregnancy, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Cambridge, allegedly mentioned that she wanted spicy Indian food, which her cooks prepared for her. It was a hunger that also led Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to eat spicy Indian food at the well-known Indian restaurant Vijs in Vancouver during her pregnancy. They joined Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, for dinner. She reportedly exclusively ate Indian food while she was pregnant.
Meghan said that she had solely eaten Indian food while pregnant, according to Vikram Vij, the owner and head chef of Vij's. "They are wonderful, really lovely, and quite amiable," he continued.
He said on Instagram, "magic happens when food brings people together! It was an honor to have Luisana Lopilato, Michael Bublé, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry join them for yet another incredible night at Vij's. Dining is about the delight of gathering together, sharing amazing cuisines, and having wonderful conversations! As they commemorate the launch of the 2025 Invictus Games—a potent ode to tenacity, bravery, and the human spirit—it becomes an even more significant night.
According to Vij, they had a courteous conversation with the kitchen crew and let him, as the chef, make the food selection. After claiming to have prepared something, he served them three or four appetizers and a number of main dishes, all of which were naturally flavored with Indian spices.
