Future Food Forum

This week, a significant food industry gathering in Dubai will examine innovative technologies, environmentally friendly methods, and cooperative approaches to shape the direction of food production.

The Future Food Forum, scheduled for October 2-3, is a two-day event that will bring together government officials, academics, and important industry players.

Under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Economy and in strategic collaboration with the Dubai Chamber, the event is being arranged by the UAE Food & Beverage Business Group (F&B Group) and is anticipated to reinforce the UAE's endeavors to establish itself as a worldwide leader in food innovation and sustainability.

In its sixth year, FoodTech Valley will be a co-organizer of the Future Food Forum, which is supported by DP World and the Abu Dhabi Food Hub.

The highly anticipated sixth edition of the Forum, with the subject "Future Consumer, Future Government, and Future Food," will focus on advancing the UAE's cluster strategy further in light of the GCC food and beverage sector's projected growth to reach a market value of $128.2 billion by 2029.

The plan, which was introduced at the Forum by UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, is still the cornerstone of the nation's economic objectives and one of the main tenets of the roadmap for the food and agricultural transformation, which aims to generate 20,000 jobs and increase the food sector's $10 billion GDP contribution in the UAE.

The Forum has proven to be a vital forum for promoting policy reform in the food and beverage industry over time.

Acting as a link between the government, legislators, and business executives, the Forum will enable substantive discussion on the agenda for the food industry going forward.

The event is the conclusion of numerous lively, high-level policy workshops geared at food clusters and the pressing challenges and opportunities within the industry.

The theme for this year attempts to address new subjects like the circular economy and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), green manufacturing practices and sustainability, trade agreements like the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), digital transformation and governance, and the growing significance of "free from" products and diet.
