In order to help partners and end users alike achieve their ESG objectives, Cisco Systems is collaborating with the channel to make environmental sustainability more quantifiable.
In order to accomplish its goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain, Cisco plans to achieve this through tools, features, and programs.
Over the past few years, the company has been integrating various data, such as energy usage statistics, into some of its solutions and making that information available to partners and end users. As of right now, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins told CRN last month that the business is attempting to bring everything together under an "umbrella strategy" centered around sustainability.
According to him, an all-encompassing platform that uses APIs will be developed that will allow companies to view this information holistically throughout their whole infrastructure.
Additionally, according to Robbins, partners and customers are favorably viewing this work.
The IT giant introduced a Sustainability Partner Journey last month at Partner Summit 2023. The journey explains how partners may run a profitable sustainability strategy. The Cisco Partner Journey is a learning track that partners can find within the recently redesigned Partner Experience Platform (PXP), according to the San Jose, California-based company. It provides partners with the tools, services, programs, and portfolio offerings they need to build a specific practice, accelerate sales, and enhance profitability from incubation to revenue production.
The Sustainability Estimator is a tool that was unveiled by Cisco at Partner Summit 2023 last month. It was released in late November and provides partners with information about the potential energy savings, cost savings, emissions reduction, and environmental impact that customers can achieve when updating their IT infrastructure.
