It's common knowledge that an image can convey a thousand words. Since the advent of digital photography and the widespread use of mobile phones in our daily lives, this has never been more true. Images are replacing words.
Today's brands are in dire need of images because they are their most effective sales tool, especially with the rise of internet purchasing. Currently, 93% of buyers claim that images influence their decision to buy the most. Without a photo, trying to sell anything online is almost useless.
But the methods and techniques for taking pictures haven't changed in years. Organizing daily picture shoots worldwide with uniform criteria and the proper aesthetic may be a big problem for food delivery or travel marketplaces with thousands of restaurants and listings. Ironically, developing a clientele, getting clear instructions, and getting paid can be difficult for image creators like photographers. To put it briefly, there can be chaos and randomness at the junction of supply and demand.
The world of photography is changing due to solutions that make it easier to produce photos. One such company is Meero, based in Paris, which offers a range of tools and solutions for businesses and photographers.
In 2016, Thomas Rebaud, the company's founder and CEO, took on the task of handling all the tasks that obstruct a photographer's ability to work creatively: prospecting, billing, sorting, post-production, and delivery.
Currently, Meero works with more than 100,000 photographers globally, giving them the chance to produce stunning photos for more than 31,000 brands. Monthly meetups, motivational content, and frequent engagements are provided by the company. Through the world's largest creative community, Meero brings them together.
"But Meero does more than that; it also simplifies the work of creative departments in many companies by offering its platforms and AI solutions to online businesses that need to handle large volumes of visual content," stated Thomas Rebaud, CEO and founder of Meero. "It's not easy to produce and manage that many photos, but it takes an almost impossible effort to do it correctly and on-brand. We can assist brands in creating, evaluating, and optimizing visual assets at any size or location in the world with the support of our staff and AI tool suite."
Evolving with the Times
For Meero, the road ahead appears to be quite intriguing. The business is still developing in an exciting, dynamic environment with lots of opportunities for expansion and innovation. Innovators in technology are still needed in the photography and picture industries to produce the images of the future, and Meero is at the forefront of this movement.
"To us, innovation entails continuously adjusting to the demands of the market and your clientele. It involves creating a new feature or product before the competition (something Meero has done quite a bit of!) Rebaud stated, "Innovation is fundamental to our strategy and sits atop our three areas of expertise: operations, photography, and artificial intelligence.
Moving forward with the goal of helping brands across multiple industries create, optimize, and value visual assets at any size, anywhere in the world, Meero continues to push the boundaries of what it offers.
Thomas Rebaud | Founder & CEO
When Thomas Rebaud founded Meero at the age of 28, he did so with the intention of making creative people's lives easier so they could dedicate all of their time to their passion: art and creation.
It all started in 2007, when he joined EMLyon Business School, one of the best French business schools. He led the junior branch of the World Entrepreneurship Forum, an organization with chapters in fifteen nations that promotes entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth and job creation, when he was still a student. After receiving his degree, he started his first business, an online benchmarking tool for interest-free loans that functioned well but did not catch on. After that, he established Diji, an inventive and flexible IT engineering and consulting firm. As Diji's involvement in the tech industry grew, he learned about and gained insight into the professional photography industry. Thomas spotted a plethora of prospects in this dynamic sector right away, and Meero was formed.
