Amy's Kitchens had a specific goal in mind when it appointed Oksana Woloszczuk as its first chief supply chain officer in January 2023: to integrate its disjointed supply chain.

According to the executive in an interview with Supply Chain Dive, the role's creation gave the company's supply chain leadership—which was unorganized prior to Woloszczuk joining—more structure.

According to Woloszczuk, the company did not have a C-suite supply chain leader, so the vice president of sourcing reported to the chief financial officer and the vice president of logistics to the chief marketing officer.

With Woloszczuk on board, Amy's Kitchen was able to assemble a supply chain team that was more focused, leading to additional efficiencies.

Woloszczuk has made it a high priority to assess the business's current operating condition and pinpoint areas in need of improvement. Her team's efforts resulted in the development of a new supply chain strategy for the food producer.

Woloszczuk stated that their supply chain has developed a three-year plan that covers every aspect, including staff development, cost structure transformation, continuous improvement, and ensuring the fundamentals are covered.

According to Woloszczuk, this led to Amy's Kitchen resetting a few of its processes, including sourcing and logistics. All of these adjustments have contributed to the company's "transformational" efficiency plan.
