Ravi is currently the President and CEO of MontaVista. He is an accomplished technology leader with 20+ years of software products and services experience.
Prior to his current role, Ravi was responsible for Engineering and Professional Services organizations at MontaVista. Previously, Ravi was VP & General Manager of FailSafe Business Unit at Phoenix Technologies, where he built FailSafe – an award winning Cloud service for PC consumers for tracking mobile devices and data protection.
Ravi also ran Linux Products and Services groups at LynuxWorks, where he helped incubating one of the Industry’s first Embedded Linux Distribution. Before that, he worked on printer firmware and applications at HP where he got his first exposure to embedded systems design. Ravi started his career as Research Scientist at India's Defense Research organization working on 3D modeling and image processing applications.
Ravi holds a Master degree in Computer Science and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. He currently holds 5 US patents.
