Myanmar is a stunning nation home to incredible people. Regretfully, tyrants' long-lasting civil battles between ethnic groups had a detrimental effect on the nation's educational system, which in turn limited people's potential. Furthermore, the regulatory framework has been completely dismantled, particularly with regard to food safety, and it is utterly incapable of meeting global standards. Consequently, no Myanmar-style food products can be found in stores in North America, Europe, or anywhere else in the world.
To address this challenge, Aye Myae, the founder of A&A Greenilla Food Ltd., founded Moe, a Myanmar food processing business, with the goal of producing genuine Myanmar food products that are easily accessible on store and internet shelves in North America and around the globe and that are "Made in Canada."
A&A Greenilla is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, and was established in 2019.
When Business Fortune reached out to Aye Myae, she discussed how the company is leading this industry and intends to continue doing so. Here's an excerpt from it.
"We want to introduce the world to Myanmar's cultural delicacies."
"Our ultimate goal is to create a fair trade for our 100% organic products with millions of primary producers in Myanmar." That will aid the socio-economic well-being of these producers, who have been struggling under the military junta for almost seven decades. Our goal in founding A&A Greenilla is to foster an atmosphere of love, compassion, sharing, and care between wealthy consumers and impoverished growers. Additionally, a portion of the earnings will support humanitarian efforts in Myanmar.
Developing a Quality Culture
A&A Greenilla is a North American catering company that focuses on creating mouthwatering, genuine Myanmar cuisine. Customers of A&A are guaranteed the best goods produced to the highest standards of flavor and food safety by using standard ingredients and adhering to the strict safety guidelines of the "Safe Food for Canadians Regulations."
The company is currently concentrating on B2B.
"Our primary goal is to create a commercial agri-food production system that is fully integrated into the safe food regulatory framework in North America." But as a new company, we have a problem: not all of our suppliers are ready to collaborate with us and supply the paperwork we need for tiny initial orders. We therefore devise a plan to leverage the food processing facilities, since they will undoubtedly assist us in moving on to the commercialization phase. We also employ co-packers. We are fortunate to have met our production partners, who are reputable and eager to assist us, despite the fact that there are not many.
"We go to trade exhibits and trade missions in search of business associates and joint ventures in the retail and distribution sectors. We plan to locate our factory and add more co-packers closer to the buyer's market as soon as we enter retail chain shops and sign contracts with distribution partners.
"We are adaptable and willing to work with the packaging sizes, styles, and minimum order requirements for our retail and distribution partners."

The majority of A&A Greenilla's goods are non-GMO, certified organic, plant-based vegan meals, and free of gluten. A&A provides the following items, to name just a few: MohHinGar Sauce is a condensed fish soup that goes well with chicken noodle salads, crisp chickpea tempura, sprouted yellow peas, and chickpea tofu flour mix.
Federally inspected, HACCP-compliant manufacturing facilities that guarantee strict food safety policies and regulations for product safety and quality create A&A products.
We sell on our e-commerce website, Amazon marketplaces, and in more than thirty stores in the US and Canada. In addition, we are actively seeking distribution and retail partners.
"Authenticity, quality, simplicity, and sustainability are our core values that we keep in mind."
